Social environment of Prague: new book published

A new book entitled The Social Environment of Prague: A City on the Threshold of the 21st Century edited by Martin Ouředníček and Jana Jíchová and authored by members of Urban and Regional Laboratory was just published by Academia. The chapters deal with various topics related to the social geography of the city: the demographic ageing and reproduction behaviour of young adults, urban crime, social and ethnic transformations of the city neighbourhoods and localisation of work, commercial suburbanisation and the concept of edge city. The book is available in Czech with an English summary.
