Filip joined Urrlab in 2026 after completing a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) in Sociology at the University of Oxford. His primary research expertise lies in migration studies, with his current research also exploring questions in urban and transport studies.
Filip has extensive experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including data collection through semi-structured interviews and online surveys. He has worked with a range of research software, including Qualtrics, Jisc Online Surveys, Stata, SPSS, NVivo, and Python. During his DPhil, he conducted large-scale data collection through an online questionnaire, collecting data from over 3,200 respondents across two countries.
Filip has published single-authored articles in respected academic journals European Journal of Education and Population, Space and Place, with several further publications in preparation. He also authored the 2025 update of the report Student Migration to the UK for the University of Oxford’s Migration Observatory.
