Abstrakt/Abstract
Traditionally, many disciplines conduct research on
crime – depending on their specialization, they focus
on crime’s different aspects. This article draws on the
point of view of geography, putting greater emphasis
on crime’s spatial context. The main attention is
devoted to the development of crime research in the
Czech Republic with emphasis on the questions,
methods and territorial criteria. At the same time, the
article reflects the development in crime research,
especially in European countries, which has long
served as a source of information and inspiration
for Czech researchers.
